P2(c) Following Safe Working Practices

Meaning & Purposes : In this section, I will demonstrate how I avoid any possible risks while filming.

In this scene, the actor will be lock inside the wardrobe. To ensure everything went safely while filming, the lock is fully malfunction and not able to lock or withstand any high impact force. This damaged lock works perfectly for my filming as it reduces the chance of my actor being accidentally lock inside the wardrobe. Although the lock can not be lock and easy to break through. I still placed some water inside the wardrobe just incase he really lock himself inside.

In this scene, the actor was throwing the cricket ball around his room. To film it down, I had change the camera angle vertically. The lens is facing the ceiling which the ball will throw across the camera.  As I am the camera man, I will always stay focus on the camera all the time. To prevent the cricket ball accidentally lands on the camera, there is another person that stand next to me. His duty is to catch the cricket ball if it comes too close to the camera. It reduce the chance of damaging the camera as it is the only camera that I can use.

In this scene, although the camera was fixed on top of the tripod, the tripod and I were standing on the edge of the stairs. As only two legs of the tripod were barely able to land on the edge of stairs. I had to hold the camera very firmly to prevent the camera being drop on the ground and being damage.

The weather on the filming day were mostly great. There isn't much raining and also Sun was mostly out on that day. The raindrop didn't affect any recorded audio quality and also the sun provide a natural lighting so it kept the outcome footage bright and clear. The screenshot above showed how the Sun light had provided a good lighting source for my filming in the scene.

To keep my camera and others property safe. I had placed all the valuable and props into my wardrobe and locked it with a padlock. The padlock is very strong and secure. In addition, I had also locked my room and closed all the window before I left my room. All action I took is to ensure my camera is secure and no-one can access it.
