P2(b) Following Shooting Script/Storyboard

Meaning & Purposes : In this section, I will demonstrate how I follow the storyboard when filming.

Starting Scene
In this starting scene, I had followed exactly to what I drew earlier in the storyboard. This scene were filmed in my boarding room. My room has plenty of lighting system, large amount of light hit on the actor face. Audience can be more focus to the actor expression. In this scene, I had used a horizontal camera angle, medium shot and high key light. As this scene, actor wasn't require to have large movement, the camera was set still.

The drawing from the storyboard is very similar to the footage what I filmed. In this scene, both of the actors are having a small conversation in the common room. I had used a over shoulder technique to film this conversation with low camera angle, long shot and high key light. Although one of the actor is sitting on the sofa and another is walking, I still have to use a pan effect to try let the actor in the middle of the scene.

In this scene, I had slightly changed with my drawing in the story board. Instead of using low camera angle, I had replaced with high camera angle. High camera angle can gives a confusion, suspicious atmosphere to audience. Combine with low key light, the result of this scene form a excellent effect.

In this scene, I had changed the camera to low camera angle instead. Using high camera angle will show more objects clearly inside the wardrobe. Also using a high camera angle form a downwards angle which will make more sense to my previous scene. Although I had change the camera angle, I had followed the lighting which is a low key light. The outcome had met the expectation.

For this ending scene, I had completely changed to my original thinking when drawing the story board. I had changed both lighting and the camera angle. I had used a high key light instead, because I want to make a comparison with a next scene which is film in low key light. Changing the camera angle into high angle is because I want to end with a tilt motion scene. The camera will gently moving upward and completely turn white at the end. Changing in to high camera angle instead of low angle helps me to achieve this ending section.
