P1(a) Treatment
Title : My film project is called "Teleport".
Genre : The genre of the video will be a shop movie.
Target Audience :
- All age group are suitable to watch, this short movie is mostly like a comedy film.
- According to the guideline of the BBFC and my written script. There is no drugs, imitable behaviour, inappropriate language, sex, violent contain inside the movie. Therefore my film should be mark as "U" which is universal to all audience who are age above 4.
Actor :
- Barin will be the main character in the whole movie.
- Jim / Alan will be a minor role in the movie.
Location :
All the film process will be in the school area only. Boarding house will only be used in the whole movie. Room 202, 107, 103 and the Common Room.
Synopsis :
Barin discovers his wardrobe had a teleport hole, able to travel from his room to the other boarder's (Alan) room while prep time. At the beginning of the movie, he starts to snatch a few snacks from wardrobe through the teleport hole. Overtime, he gains weight by eating too much and more and more greedy. One day, Alan thinks he had suffered enough of the amount of his food lost. He decided to change the place where he store his food. When Barin tries to snatch snacks again, this time there isn't any, so he tries to go trough the teleport hole. However once he reaches Alan's wardrobe, he found himself the wardrobe is locked and the teleport hole is shut down.
Audio :
Soundtack may not be use for the whole movie. As audience can deeply focus to the dialogue, expression and storyline about the movie.
Editting :
- The editing will be a quick slow cutting, each scene will last about 5-8 second which can help audience to build up an understanding of the storyline.
- Ending : Barin will be locked inside the wardrobe and no one able to help him.
Camera Technique :
- Horizontal view & low camera angle will be mainly used to shoot the video.
- Camera Movement : Pan , Tilt , Zoom will be mainly be use in the film.
Lighting :
- Medium to low key light will be mainly be used to shoot the video. The dim background would give an impression of fear and powerful to audience.
Running Time :
The running time will be between 3 -4 mins. Long running time will cause audience lost interested of watching it.
Props :
- Casual wear will only be used in the whole movie. As the movie relate to the boarders daily boarding school life, casual wear will be more appropriate for the movie.

Other Equipments :
Cricket ball is the main hint how the character discover there is a teleport hole in his wardrobe. It is also how to story begin as he lost his cricket ball right inside the wardrobe right after he threw it in.
As Barin able to grab something at the beginning of the movie through the teleport hole. I have decided it would be something personal items such as trainers and shirt. As all clothes have a name tag on it in the boarding house. It will shows clearly show to audience that there is something related to the teleport hole.
As the character become fatter and fatter over time, Barin will stay in front of the mirror and sigh how his recent body figure had changed. A full height mirror is require to be use in the movie.
Barin able to steal snacks from people's room through a teleport hole inside his wardrobe. Therefore some chocolate bar, cookies, popcorn is require to be use inside the movie.
- The short movie below had inspired me and gave me idea of how I film this movie. I will adapt the topic but create a different story line which will have a different beginning & ending.
P1(b) Script
Meaning & Purpose : In this section, I will show the script of my movie "Teleport"
As I am going to do a short movie, there are quite a lot of dialogue in it. The script below had listed out all the timing, dialogue, location, camera angle / position and lighting.
P1(c) Storyboard
Meaning & Purpose : In this section, I will show all the drawing I drew for my storyboard.
The storyboard below is my concept idea of how I film my scene. It included the location, camera angle and lighting set-up. By drawing out each scene, it helps me to keep up with my filming process and ensure I won't forget to film some key scene.
P1(d) Set Designs
Meaning & Purposes : In this section, I will demonstrate the initial idea of how camera angle, lighting and actor position in the filming.
The set design shows the how the camera camera can be set and the position of the actor while filming. The drawing show all the location which I will be using for my filming.
P1(e) Recce
Meaning & Purpose : In this section, I will show the location I will be using for my filming.
All the filming will be done inside the Kent College campus. As the story begin with boarders inside the boarding house, therefore most of the filming will be film indoor.
